Mark it Read Recap
In recognition of International Dyslexia Awareness Month, Dyslexia Canada with the proud support of IG Wealth Management, launched the first National Mark it Read for Dyslexia Campaign throughout the month of October.
13 monuments across Canada were illumined in red for one night to help raise awareness for the Mark it Read Campaign.
In addition, many school participated in various events, assemblies, and activities to support the one in five children in Canada with Dyslexia. Thousands of people also participated by following, sharing, and liking the campaign via our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn feeds. We would like to thank all of you who supported the campaign through October.
Don’t stop the conversation
Just because October is over doesn’t mean we’re not hard at work shining a light on dyslexia. The thousands of responses received shows how critical keeping the awareness of dyslexia is. We encourage you to say the word dyslexia, follow us on our social media channels or search our site to learn about the resources and tools available to help to 10 - 15% of children in Canadian schools with dyslexia.
We are looking forward to making 2019 even bigger and brighter.
